The Volleyball Ladies Bring Another Double Win to TJ

The TJ Volleyball Ladies began the week on a good note beating Alameda in a 3-0 win on Monday September 20th then coming back strong on Tuesday beating George Washington High School with another 3-0 win.
Although the ladies beat Alameda some players feel that they didn’t play to the best of their abilities. “We could have played better; we played down to their level,” said Senior Kira Rodriguez. However, Tuesday night the volleyball ladies turned things around and played well all three games, even though it was tougher, since many of the players were out due to injuries and illnesses.
The ladies are more than half way through their season and are demolishing their competition with 8 wins and 1 loss so far. “So far this season is really promising and we’re really excited to start league and get out of districts this year,” said Rodriguez.
The Volleyball Ladies are ready to keep on with their winning streak. The team’s next game is Tuesday September 28, 2010 against Fountain Fort Carson at TJ at 7:00 p.m.
