After losing to Standley Lake the volleyball team turns things around and wins against South.

With an incredible record of 15 wins and only 3 loses the Volleyball Ladies unfortunately fell short after playing against Standley Lake October 12, but came back strong beating the South Rebels Thursday October 14.
The team played hard for the first two games. The defense stayed strong and carried the team while the offense was hitting hard. Unfortunately, once the third game began the ladies started looking tired and lost a bit of confidence and lost the next three games. “It felt weird losing because we had only lost two games,” said Sophomore Angela Becker.
After their loss on Tuesday the ladies came back strong and redeemed themselves beating South in a close 3-2 match. The momentum shifted on both sides during all five games; however, the defense always stayed strong and the offense got a lot of kills and digs. “It felt good to get back on track after losing to Standley Lake,” said Kira Rodriguez.
Although the team was excited after their win it was an eye opening game since they won 3-2 and were expecting to win 3-0. “It was embarrassing that it went to five games since we went in expecting to win with a 3-0 score,” added Becker
With these two games out of the way the Volleyball team is looking forward to Friday October 22 when they go up against Evergreen at their last home game of the season. “I expect it to be a really good game because they’re a good team. We just have to play hard and can’t give up,” said Becker. Evergreen will be a tough opponent, but the girls are ready, focused and excited.
