Lollipops will be on sale for TJ students to send to their friends and sweethearts for Valentine’s Day.
Student Council will be selling candy grams for Valentine’s Day that can be purchased during lunch, in front of the main office from February 9th through the 11th.
StuCo members will be in front of the main office beginning on Wednesday during spirit week selling the rose shaped suckers for students to send to their friends, teachers, and anyone to whom they want to wish a happy Valentine’s Day. “We decided to sell the candy grams this year because Student Council hasn’t really done them in a while and we thought it would be nice for the students to spread love and cheer for Valentine’s Day and spirit week,” said All School President, Nicole Blake.
To send a candy gram one must know the intended recipient’s fourth period room number and teacher. The lollipops will come with a card in which the senders can write a personalized message to whomever they’re sending it to. “The suckers are a great way for students to show one another they care. They can write each other messages on a valentine, like we used to do in elementary school,” said Blake.
The candy grams will be sold during lunch in front of the main office during spirit week and will be delivered on Valentine’s Day, Monday February 14th. The money raised from the suckers will go towards future Student Council projects such as school dances. “If you want to win the heart of someone, buy them a candy gram. I guarantee you’ll win their heart over,” said Blake.
