On Friday, January 25, the Spartan Fish went over to Manual High School to compete in the DPS B-League Meet.

All of the girls swam, except for the four seniors, and there were three divers who usually don’t get to dive, who did really well.  “It was a really good experience overall for all of our really young swimmers so they could see what it was like to be in a big league meet like that,” said Coach Ivory Allen.  The ladies ended up coming fourth, behind GW, East, and West.

The next big meet will be the A-League meet, which will also be held at Manual on Friday, February 1.  “I think we are prepared for the A-League Meet and definitely ready to swim our best,” said Allen who explained that this meet will be different, unlike the B-League meet where there were girls who were swimming in races that they usually don’t swim. “This week they will all be in their best events, so we’re just hoping that they will give us their top performances and really compete well against our fellow Denver Prep League teams.”
