The TJ baseball team lost to Standley Lake High School, but beat down on Denver Christian High School.

On Saturday, April 6 the Spartans took on Standley Lake High School and lost in a tough battle 5-4.
After scoring four runs in the first inning, the boys were unable to hold the lead, giving up 11 hits and five runs in seven innings. Senior Zach Robinson went 1 for 2 at the plate and drove in two of the Spartans’ runs. Junior Sean Kelly pitched five and one-third innings along with Junior Samuel Reed who finished the game off. “We thought we played well enough to come away with the victory. Our offense couldn’t muster any runs after the first inning, which really hurt us,” stated Kelly.
On Monday, April 8, the TJ baseball team took on Denver Christian and pummeled the crusaders 13-2. The boys put up 11 runs in the first inning, which was enough to secure the victory for the Spartans. Zach Robinson went three for four and drove in four runs for the Spartans. Junior Cooper Bowermaster went four innings with six strikeouts. “This game boosted the team’s confidence. We really needed a win like this, where everyone hit well,” said Zach Robinson. The Spartan record is 4-4 on the season with their next game on Friday April 12 at TJ at 4:15 p.m. against Denver West High School.
