A Chance to Improve a Life

As another harsh winter hits,  the Ladies Of ValuE (L.O.V.E) set their sights on preventing it from affecting the less fortunate.

Socks and gloves are not commonly donated, yet are crucial during the cold winter days. Due to this, L.O.V.E has started a glove and sock drive, in hopes of helping those who are less fortunate. The socks and gloves can be donated at TJ, ONIs Barber shop, Christ’s Church Apostolic, and Green Valley Ranch Recreation Center. The drive will end on December 18th; however, the contributions do not have to end there. On December 23rd, L.O.V.E will meet at TJ at 11:00 a.m. to then head downtown to hand out the donations to the homeless. If students would like to lend a hand, the club members will be delivering the items across the street from the Denver Rescue Mission Shelter and are in need of someone willing to help carpool. Students who assist will also receive volunteer hours.

If interested contributing to this cause, please contact Anette Bowser, founder of the organization, at 720.470.6699 or at LadiezofValue@gmail.com. This is an opportunity to improve the conditions of one’s life by simply donating gently used or new socks and gloves. It is small deeds like these that can change the way someone lives their life.
