Both players and coach are hopeful for an extremely successful season.

The 2010-11 Boys’ Soccer Team is preparing for a fun and successful season, as great things are expected this year from the very dedicated squad of boys.
Coach Jon Poole says that this year’s varsity team is looking strong. He says the boys have been working hard at practices, gaining their touch back on the ball and perfecting their shots. Poole is exceptionally optimistic for the team’s success this season. “The guys are looking really good. I expect them to have their best season in eight years,” said Poole.
The boys practice every day from 3:15 to 5:15, never wasting a second by always making use of their time and giving it their all. Excitement shows in all of the players, as they too are hopeful for a great season. “I’m excited about working with my new teammates, but most of all I’m excited about victory,” explains Senior Captain Nick Becker. All the players seem to have a great passion for the sport, and are ready to dominate this season.
“My goal is to have fun. The best way to have fun is to win,” added Poole. The boys have gotten the chance to warm up for the season with a couple scrimmages; however, their first actual game will be held here at TJ this Friday, September 3rd at 5:30pm. Be sure to catch the game and see how far this year’s varsity team has come, as the guys are excited and ready to show everyone what they’re made of.
