Finding money for College can sometimes be one of the most difficult obstacles in the process. Many students sometimes find themselves overwhelmed by how much is actually needed.

Fortunately, there is help. The Denver Scholarship Foundation and TJ Future Center will take part in hosting the Financial Aid Night tonight, Thursday, November 13, 2008.

Intended for all Seniors and their parents/guardians who plan on attending College next fall, the event will take place at TJ in Room 108, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. According to Tabitha Rocha, the TJ Future Center Coordinator, Seniors should come even if they don’t have any post-high school plans yet, because the night will be worth the information in the long run.

Seniors and parents can come to learn more about many helpful programs and services including F.A.F.S.A. (Free Application for Federal Student Aid,) and E.F.C. (Estimated Family Contribution) that can help Seniors with student/parent loans, Work Study Programs, Federal Grants and more. Also to be announced at Financial Aid Night will be scholarship application deadlines, Financial Aid Workshops for Spring 2009, and other important dates to remember through out the 2008-09 school year. "It would be in the student’s best interest to come to Financial Aid Night, even if you’re not yet sure of your College plans. There will be an immense amount of information distributed, and it is always a good idea to be prepared," said Rocha. For any additional questions on Financial Aid Night visit the Future Center in Room 114.
