Halloween is spooking up! There is no better way to start off the chilly fall season than to partake in a Halloween party, during school hours!
Leadership class is throwing a Halloween bash for the students who have perfect attendance from October 3rd to the 27th. “It’s a great idea that the leadership class is creating an opportunity to celebrate for the students who attend school. It gives them something to look forward to. The fact that we haven’t had school on Halloween day, due to fall break, allows us an opportunity to celebrate in a positive way,” said Sandra Just, Principal of Thomas Jefferson High School.
This celebration will have all sorts of amusing games, food, and many fantastic prizes. Senior Darby Scott says, “It motivates me to come to school everyday because I enjoy being rewarded and receiving prizes for my dedication and hard work at school.”
Students will be able to dress up in their costumes the day of the event, even if they do not attend the party. Students, who participate, will receive an award for best costume. The outfit must be school appropriate though, complying with the dress code at Thomas Jefferson High School. For example, no headwear and/or masks, no inappropriately exposed body parts, and no tight clothing is allowed. Make sure to keep attendance up in order to partake in this great celebration, and a new tradition at TJ!
