TJ Spartans defeat Montbello and West as they head into winter break.

On Wednesday, December 19th, the Lady Spartans compete in a Tri-Meet against West and Montbello, beating both teams.
Junior Sarah Orr had a great meet, coming in first for both the 100 Butterfly and the 100 Backstroke. Junior Tatiana Gerlits also had a victory, coming in first for the 100 Breast Stroke. Although finals were this week, Head Coach Cindy Allen said she was pleased with the team’s performance. “It’s been a stressful week with finals and trying to get in final grades, but we got the win.” The Spartan scored a 110 over West’s 79 and Montbello’s 39. “The girls swam well, but we still have room for some improvement,” said Allen.
The girls will be able to have a well-deserved break, but at the start of the new year, they will have a meet against Englewood at TJ on January 10th.
