The pep rally week, one of the most exciting weeks of the school year, comes to a close with the annual powder-puff game, the beloved TJ tradition that pits the senior ladies against the junior ladies.

Showcasing a true display of teamwork, class pride, and football talent, the senior ladies pulled out the victory this year shutting out the strong juniors, 12-0. “There was a lot of tackling and at one point in the game all of the members of each team were on the field playing. Needless to say it got a little crazy,” Senior Becca Holt laughed in remembrance.

“I had been looking forward to it all year, and when it finally arrived it was everything I had been hoping for and more,” Junior Anna Becker happily shared.

Throughout the game the two classes came together in a competitive setting, and at the end of the day star Senior Paige Wilson only had one thing to say: “It felt really good to go out there and play as a team with my fellow seniors and pull out the victory against a very respectable junior class opponent. I remember being a junior and how excited I was to get out on the gridiron and play the seniors, and I am glad I had the opportunity to give them that same feeling.”

The tradition has always given, and will continue to give a wonderful ending to TJ’s spirit week, and will always be a great way of uniting the two upper classes.
