Spartan faculty joins all-star student choirs for spring recital tonight.
TJ Choir concerts are known for showing off the singing chops of its students, but with the spring concert this year the event will be featuring the newly-formed faculty choir, consisting of: Eileen Adair, Jeff Almond, Liz Buffington, Jeff Coleman, Wendy Doyle, Linda Estlund, Carole Fulkerson, Gabrielle Gerlits, Gordon Heaton, Paul Kirschling, Vanessa Molina, Jon Poole, Mark Smith, Matt Spampinato, Sue Stokely, Wauneta Vann, and Aimee Witulski.
All the choirs will be performing throughout the evening and the concert will feature such songs as Just For Now by Imogean Heap, Just My Imagination by The Temptations, My Only Hope by Mandy Moore, and Be My Baby by The Ronettes. The faculty choir will be singing the TJ Alma Mater, and all the choirs will join in an African song, Hope for Resolution, at the end of the evening with the help of some of faculty drummers Mark Mallaney and Carole Fulkerson. The concert will be April 27, (that’s right, tonight!) and though there is no official door cost; however, students are encouraged to make a $2 donation, and adults are encouraged to chip in a $5 donation, though larger donations will be greatly appreciated. The show will begin at 7:00 pm, in the Thomas Jefferson auditorium.
