Assistant Coach – Layth Dieyleh
Layth was a standout wrestler for TJ from 2009-2013. His freshmen year he finished with 14 wins and 15 losses but by his senior year he had set a new school single season record with 48 wins and 5 losses. He was a four time Denver Prep League Champion and played a significant role in Thomas Jefferson winning six straight league titles. Layth placed at state in three regional tournaments and was a two time state tournament qualifier. His senior year he took home third place at the Colorado State Wrestling Tournament and was named a Daniels Fund Scholar which provided him a full ride to any university in the United States. He currently attends the University of Denver while starting his coaching career at TJ. He is excited to get the chance to help the athletes here at TJ excel not only on the mat but in the classroom as he was able to do. His goals are to help our student athletes reach their personal potential and help return Spartan Wrestling to it’s rightful place atop the Denver Prep League. His inspiration comes from his father and Bill Daniels, both men who were dedicated to helping others.
