The parents and students of the class of 2012 have organized a book fair to support TJ, and it will be held on Thursday November 18th, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble at 960 South Colorado Boulevard. There will be entertainment, activates, raffles, and prizes for all TJ students, families, friends, and TJ staff who participate in this event. Anyone and everyone in the TJ community is welcome to participate.

Spartans can also take part in this event during the week of November 18th through the 24th by buying any books, magazines, cd’s, and DVD’s at any Barnes & Noble across the country or shopping online at bn.com/bookfairs and using TJ’s voucher number (#10337350). If this number is not given, the earnings will not go to TJ. Friends and family can also use the voucher number to support TJ.

10-15% of the profit will go back to TJ. The class of 2012 has kindly offered to share the earnings with classes 2011, 2013, and 2014. “We hope that it will become an annual event and tradition. We like the idea of the classes collaborating, and it should give everyone a bigger bang for their buck,” said Kendra Black, a TJ parent who is helping organize the event.

Since all classes, students, and parents are encouraged to participate, the class of 2012 feels that everyone should take advantage of this great opportunity to support TJ. “There have been a lot of students and parents who have been generous enough to organize this school-wide event, so I hope a lot of people will participate and make it a successful fundraiser,” said Computer Magnet Teacher Stacey Fornstrum, who is also one of 2012’s class sponsors.

Anyone can participate and support TJ. Everyone who participates will need TJ’s Voucher number, which is #10337350.
