Early season continues for the Spartans.
The Lady Spartans played their first game last night at All City Field and they were not able to pull out a win as they lost to Northglenn 5-0.
The girls looked to make a strong rebound after their devastating defeat at the hands of Rocky Mountain last Saturday. The same intensity was there, but it just seemed like the Spartans couldn’t put anything together. The game started out just like the game against Rocky Mountain, with TJ controlling the ball inside the Northglenn zone. However, this surge in offense was short-lived, as eventually the tide began to turn and the Spartans were on the defensive. The defense that was shown was much improved compared to the other games, yet there were still some major flaws. There were a few times that the TJ ladies were caught off guard and it proved to get the better of them in the end.
The next game that the Spartans will play will start their league schedule against North. The team looks forward to this game, as they have recently been able to dominate on Vikings. The Spartans are coming off a early season slide and they look to make a strong comeback against teams such as North, West, and Lincoln. Hopefully they can break the slide that they are in and start to have a momentous comeback. Their first league game is April 3rd at 6:30 against North at All City Field.
