Theme days, a parade, a pep rally, and much more highlights TJ’s Spirit Week.
Starting on Tuesday, September 21st, TJ will be showing off its pride, enthusiasm, and excitement during this year’s Spirit Week, which will consist of a week of theme days, leading up to the Homecoming football game on Friday at All City Stadium, and ultimately the Saturday Homecoming Dance.
Spirit week will commence on Tuesday with Classy Day, where students will have the chance to dress up in their slick, smooth, witty, and fashionable garb. Sweater-vests, ties, and blazers are only a few accessories recommended to students who want to look spot-on on this theme day.
On Wednesday, students will get to look wild and ferocious on Western Day. Whether dressed as a honorable sheriff or a ruthless bandit, students are encouraged to embrace this day with all that they have.
Thursday will be Tie-dye Day, where students will get to show off their colors with tie-dye shirts, pants, or anything else that can be tied and dyed.
Friday, as always, will host TJ Spirit Day, where everyone gets to display their beloved brown and gold, and prove themselves to be true Spartans. Spirit Day will end with this semester’s pep rally, which will include music, events, and a surprise speaker.
Later on Friday will be the Homecoming football game, where the Spartans will take on South High School at All City Stadium at 7:00 p.m., at All City Field.
This epic week of events will conclude with the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m., and prior to the game TJ will have several activities going on at All City Stadium. There will be Alumni Tailgating, Parent Tailgating, Student Tailgating (each has a designated area) and there will be a Bronco Tailgate inside the stadium, wrapping up this week of celebration, pride, and spirit.
