TJ’s Senior Leadership class has collaborated to organize several events, designed specifically for seniors and freshmen to meet and pair with each other and bond together, including a luncheon, a school cleanup, and field day.

Senior Mitchell Moore planned the senior and freshmen luncheon, created to help ensure all seniors have a freshman partner, and visa versa. The Luncheon will be held in room 108 during lunch on Tuesday September 13 and will include donated food from parents and students, refreshments, and a sign-up sheet so freshmen and their seniors can officially team-up together. “The luncheon will be a good way for the seniors and freshmen to be introduced to one another and to kick off the year. All seniors and freshmen are welcome to come and enjoy,” said Moore.

Jon Poole’s leadership class has also collaborated with the administration to help compose a team of seniors and freshmen to pick up trash and clean up around the school on Wednesday September 14 during Excel.

Constructed as a new tradition here at TJ, the students in leadership are helping to create a freshman and senior field day to take place in October. Students will participate in a series of events and competitions, in a sort of parody of a traditional elementary school field day, with freshmen and seniors paired-up. In order to participate in the field day, seniors must be signed up with a freshman, and freshmen must be signed up with seniors.
