The Spartans took the court with a new weapon that they had not had all season, as they welcomed back Senior Center Chris Carter, who had missed the first nine games of the season due to injury. Offensively, the Spartans were lead by Senior guard Deontae Fair who scored 15 points. “We played great team ball from start to finish and were committed to defense the entire game. But we are not done pushing. We still have a long ways to go before we are finally content,” said Carter.

The 6-3 Spartans will next be in action when they travel to take on the pesky D’Evelyn Jaguars on Wednesday, January 6. The game will begin at 7:00 pm.

As far as Carter’s availability for the D’Evlyn game goes, as well as the rest of the season, he says to count him in. Carter made progress and showed no signs of the injury the entire game. “I feel good about how I played and I will only get better as we play more. I am excited to be back with my teammates and I am looking forward to the rest of the season,” Carter said.
