The Spartans improve their record to 5-3.
The TJ boys Hoop Squad won yet another game Tuesday night, as they destroyed Bear Creek en route to a 72-45 win. TJ held their foot on the pedal the entire game, even without the presence of their All-State guard Ray Riley who missed the game with a sore back.
Offensively, TJ had their most balanced effort of the year, as they received double-digit performances from five players: Seniors Billy Sprague and Zach Jackson, Juniors Miles McIntosh and Cedric Penn, and also Freshman Eric Andres. “We played the most balanced game of the year. I felt like everyone on the team contributed today, and this was just a great win for us. I’m looking forward to Arvada West on Friday,” said McIntosh.
Bear Creek player Jaron Price was the leading scorer with 27 points, but behind him the Bears had no offensive fire power, and therefore struggled to make points.
TJ next plays on Friday, December 18, when they host Arvada West here at TJ at 7:00 pm. This will be the second time that TJ takes on the Wildcats. You might remember that TJ played and defeated Arvada West just last Saturday, December 12, to win the Paul Davis Classic.
