I started working at outdoor/indoor recreation facilities when I was 12 years old. I taught swim lesson and became a lifeguard. After a couple of summers, I worked as an assistant manager in a year round indoor facility. I also coached two summer league swim teams, one of which I was the head coach of. When I went to college, I studied mathematics, was a lifeguard, and a coach of the masters swim team. After graduating from college, I taught one year in Jeffco Public Schools as a 7th grade math teacher. Upon finishing that first year, I decided to work for Denver Public Schools. I taught at Montbello High School for 5 years, and now I'm in my fifth year at TJ. Every year I look forward to educating students on becoming productive world citizens and become better problem solvers in real-world situations.
