Whether you like it or not, you’ve heard of Justin Bieber. He’s on the radio singing about love lost and even on Youtube banging his head on revolving doors. Let’s face it, this adolescent boy has impacted our lives in one way or another by being everywhere, all the time.

Though many find him annoying for singing about supposed love at the age of 12 (he’s actually 16, despite the exaggeration of most), have people ever thought about when they were that age? When our generation was younger, we too “fell in love” at 13 and were heartbroken when our lovers’ friends met us on the playground to tell us it was over. Why is he so hated for making catchy tunes based on his personal life experiences?

One answer can be jealousy. This young boy has made more money in two years than 90% of American citizens ever will in their entire lifetimes. Born on March 1, 1994 in London, Ontario, Justin Bieber is talented, whether people want to accept it or not. He’s charming in his songs, and dances, as well. His hit Baby featuring Ludacris describes puppy love in an upbeat manner, and debuted at number five on the Billboard Hot 100. On the MTV Video Music Awards he even proved to be a triple-threat as he took charge of playing drums, too. He’s considered an influential pop culture icon, with music legends Justin Timberlake and Usher engaging in a heated bidding war on who got to sign Bieber to their record label.

Not only is he musically talented, but he’s also shown to have a fun and caring personality. To not angrily lash out at all the hate pages made about him, or the constant jokes of him sounding like a prepubescent girl or looking like a golden retriever, shows a lot of patience and a light-hearted attitude on Bieber’s part. People say they don’t care about him, yet they show much interest in hating him. In his songs he encourages true love instead of infidelity, and shows that he is sincere about his feelings about girls. It can’t be denied that these qualities are respectable in a person.

Call him young and goofy, but Justin Bieber is going to stick around the music industry for at least a couple more years. So why not make the best out of his upbeat music?
